Bolton Wanderers are reportedly among the clubs showing interest in Antalyaspor midfielder Dario Sarić, with the Bosnia and Herzegovina international attracting attention ahead of the summer window. The link comes from journalist Nicolo Schira, who has claimed that Bolton, Lincoln City, and Greek side Iraklis have all shown interest in the 29-year-old. Talks are said to have opened, although there has been no suggestion at this stage of an agreement being close. Sarić is currently with Antalyaspor in the Turkish Süper Lig, having returned to the club permanently after earlier joining them on loan from Palermo. For Bolton, the reported interest points towards a player with experience across Italy and Turkey rather than a younger development profile. Sarić was born in Italy and came through Cesena’s academy before moving into Carpi’s youth setup, later gaining senior experience with Virtus Castelfranco and Siena. He went on to make 54 league appearances for Carpi before joining Ascoli in 2020. That spell gave him a regular run in Serie B, with 66 league appearances across two seasons, before Palermo moved for him in 2022. At the time, reports in Italy suggested the deal was worth around €2m. His time with Palermo brought 37 league appearances before a loan move to Antalyaspor for the 2023-24 campaign. He made 32 league appearances and scored three times during that first spell in Turkey, then spent part of 2025 back in Italy with Cesena, where he added another 15 league games and three goals. Palermo later confirmed that Sarić had moved back to Antalyaspor on a deal involving a loan with an obligation to buy. Since then, he has remained part of the Turkish club’s midfield options. Last season, he made 24 Süper Lig appearances for Antalyaspor, starting 16 times and playing 1,398 league minutes. His output stood at one goal and one assist, while his wider numbers point more towards a disciplined midfield role than a player signed for attacking production. Bolton have been linked with several midfield options in recent windows, and quite often they fail to settle. Sarić would represent competition for Ethan Erhahon, but also brings a different type of addition: experienced, technical, and with a proven track record in Turkey.
