Bolton Wanderers captain Eoin Toal is making significant progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury that kept him from playing at Wembley. The Northern Ireland international is currently the only senior player regularly reporting to the medical staff at Lostock, and there is optimism that he will return to training before the new Championship season kicks off. Toal sustained the injury during the play-off semi-final victory against Bradford City, which meant he had to watch the final from the sidelines. Despite this setback, he joined his teammates in celebrating their play-off victory and remains in high spirits as he continues his rehabilitation journey. Head physio Matt Barrass provided an update, stating that Toal is about halfway through his rehab process, which has been ongoing for around four weeks. Barrass noted that while the injury was disappointing for Toal, he has maintained a positive attitude throughout his recovery. The treatment room at Bolton Wanderers has been relatively empty, with several loan players returning to their parent clubs after the play-off final. Barrass expressed confidence in the health of the squad moving forward, emphasizing that aside from Toal, the team is in a good position as they prepare for the upcoming season.
