Bolton Wanderers suffered their first Championship defeat of the season with a 1-0 loss away to Lincoln City. Manager Steven Schumacher told the club's official website it was a frustrating result after his team controlled large parts of the game at LNER Stadium.

The Bolton boss was clear in his assessment. "It was tough to take because I thought we played really well, especially in that first half," Schumacher said. He acknowledged Lincoln's strengths in defending and getting bodies back, a style overseen by their management duo of Chris Cohen and Tom Shaw. Schumacher also appreciated the effort his players showed, which was recognised by the travelling fans.

With the summer deadline also falling on Tuesday night, Schumacher confirmed business is not finished. "I still think we're not done in the transfer market yet. We’ll try and get one more in at least," he stated. The aim is to further strengthen a squad and bench that is already looking more robust.
