Schumacher told reporters he was satisfied with the player's initial contribution. "I thought he did well," the head coach said. "Obviously he’s adjusting to the tempo of everything, the training, it’s the first game minutes that he’s had, and he’ll get stronger, but I thought he actually did OK." Ito had not played a competitive league match since May prior to his introduction at the University of Bolton Stadium.
