Bolton Wanderers are searching for a new striker this summer, and one potential target is free agent Elijah Adebayo. The 28-year-old has experience in the Premier League and Championship, having played for Luton Town and Fulham's youth teams. He scored 10 goals in 27 Premier League appearances for Luton in the 2023/24 season and has a proven track record of scoring in the top two divisions of English football. With Bolton's finances limited, they may not have many options to look at, but Adebayo could be an interesting target for the club. He has been linked with Leicester City this summer but no move materialised, and he's been on trial with Bristol City but they signed Dom Ballard and Lorent Tolaj and opted against Adebayo. Bolton could be the ideal move for him and a route back into the Championship. If he could get back to his 2021-24 form then BWFC will have an excellent striker on their hands. The Verdict: Adebayo would be a high risk high reward signing. Signing Adebayo does come with a major risk to BWFC. With the injury issues he has had, there is no guarantee that he gets back to full fitness, nevermind his best form. However, the chance to sign a promotion-winning striker, who also reached double figures in the Premier League is not one to pass up. It could be the difference between relegation and promotion for Bolton Wanderers. As of now, the team is 28 points behind the leaders in the title race and has scored 70 goals this season, while conceding 52. They are currently 5th in League One, with 75 points from 46 games, and recent form LDDWL.
